Directly next to Darley and within 5 minutes to Vinery & Arrowfield, Brooklyn Lodge is perfectly located as a premier broodmare stud farm. The beautiful rolling countryside with rich alluvial soils provide highly productive pastures, giving mares & foals well balanced nutrients in raising successful thoroughbreds.

With the Hunter River flowing alongside the property, the farm paddocks are well watered and fully irrigated. Brooklyn Lodge offers one of the best thoroughbred facilities onsite, ensuring that all horses on farm are given the best possible care. Having gone through extensive redevelopment designed by prominent equine architect John Ladd-Hudson, the +800 acre stud farm boasts a twenty box stable barn fully rubber lined, air-conditioned foaling unit also fully rubber lined, night watch facilities, lunging ring, parade ring, feed sheds with silos, quarantine facilities and an administration centre.

Throughout the farm’s history, Brooklyn Lodge have produced many successful racehorses, winning premier Group 1 races like the STC Golden Slipper, VRC Crown Oaks, MVRC Cox Plate and many other stakes races. Some notable thoroughbreds to have come out of Brooklyn Lodge Stud include multiple Group 1 winning filly Serenade Rose, stakes winners Lady Of The Desert & Vintner, multiple group placed Perfect Drop & Shirl Pegasus, as well as Group 2 winning gelding Linton.
